Spirit of Entrepreneurship Event, September 2014 A group of budding Enterprise students attended this recent event in the GMIT, Castlebar along with their teacher Ms Flynn. Guest speakers included Dragon's Den Investor Bobby Kerr and 14 year old self taught entrepreneur Jordan Casey of Casey Games. Topics covered included Starting and Building a Business and Funding & Finance. The evening was a great success and thanks once again to all the students that attended. Christmas Fair 2014 Preparations are getting underway in class for this years Christmas Fair - only 52 days to Christmas Day!! On Thursday Oct 23rd the TY Enterprise class went to the Connacht Creative Resource Centre in Castlebar to source materials for their Christmas Fair.  TY Enterprise Class at the Connacht Creative Resource Centre On Friday Oct 24th they held a No-Uniform Day in school to raise funds for further materials they will have to purchase. Dec 2014: TY Enterprise students made beautiful handcrafted Christmas cards. They worked in teams and engaged in design, packaging, labeling, pricing and advertising. They sold their cards in school at a cost of €1 each. Jan 2015: TY Enterprise students are now working on a group project where they will research some of Ireland's top young entrepreneurs. TY Enterprise students will donate funds raised during the year to the School Garden Project.
